Portrait floral circleSarah Craig is the principal psychologist at Pause Psychology. She holds tertiary qualifications in Clinical Psychology (MPsych)) and is recognised as a PSYCHOLOOG NIP, registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBS), the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA), and the Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen (NIP).

Sarah has extensive experience in both public and private sectors in Australia. Her area of interest is in Complex Trauma, Eating Disorders, and Autism in females. That being said, her experience ranges from working with anxiety and depression, to dissatisfaction with current life situations, or personal growth.

Sarah has a strong interest in mindfulness and using it to enhance mental well-being. Despite having trained in more traditional therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Schema Therapy, Sarah has an emphasis on using Compassion Focused Therapy and and Self-Compassion techniques. Most importantly, therapy is client-centered, meaning what appears to be the best for the client is what will be used. For this who have experienced trauma Sarah is also trained in EMDR.

Sarah is originally from Australia however, has moved countries a number of times. She has recently moved from Australia to Amsterdam with her family. Therefore, she has lived experience of issues surrounding expats, and change; both individually, and as a family. SaraNIP210_NIP_Psycholoog_RGBh practices mindfulness and yoga, and immerses herself in the understanding of Buddhist Psychology.
