Online Video Counseling has been shown to be an effective medium for treatment for a range of issues. The format of counseling is the same as face to face counseling only in a location that is more accessible for you.
At Pause Psychology I use the platform Zoom, which is similar to Skype where you connect over video. It has been proven to be more secure and reliable than Skype. There is no cost for the user and can be used on desktops, tablets or smart phones.
Online Video Counseling can be used for a range of problems. This can include anxiety, depression, self-growth, eating disorders and more.
What to expect.
The first step is to book an initial consultation which can be done by contacting me with a request for an initial consultation (please indicate preferred times and days.) This initial session will last about 20 minutes and is free. It will give each of us a chance to get to know each other and if you this is a good fit for you.
From there the sessions will be exploring what it is like to be you in a kind and compassionate way. Once a clear understanding of how your circumstances have shaped your way of thinking and feeling we can begin to work on shifting any unhelpful ways of being to allow a greater sense of acceptance and well-being to flow.
What you can expect is an open and accepting environment for you to discover more about yourself. With kindness, understanding and practice, symptoms of mental health problems can be alleviated. The number of sessions and the direction the sessions take will be guided by you and what works best for you.
If there are technical problems I will contact you via telephone to conclude the session.
